Yoga Nidra-The Power of Restorative Rest

Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep but this powerful practice of guided meditation touches a deeper layer of consciousness than our regular slumber.  Using a structured method of guided meditation, we use images to take the mind into a place of deep meditation and release.  Nidra relaxes deep seated tension and resets the nervous system, strengthening the immune system and leading to healing.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Explore the history of psychology of yoga nidra

  • Structure body scan techniques to release tension

  • Understand how internalization, rotation and breath balance the mind

  •  Create your own nidra dialogue to share with others.

There will be a thirty minute break at 2:00 pm

The day will end with a full yoga nidra led by Karen Quinn
