Yoga Nidra-The Power of Restorative Rest

Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep but this powerful practice of guided meditation touches a deeper layer of consciousness than our regular slumber. Using a structured method of guided meditation, we use images to take the mind into a place of deep meditation and release. Nidra relaxes deep seated tension and resets the nervous system, strengthening the immune system and leading to healing.
In this workshop, we will:
Explore the history of psychology of yoga nidra
Structure body scan techniques to release tension
Understand how internalization, rotation and breath balance the mind
Create your own nidra dialogue to share with others.
There will be a thirty minute break at 2:00 pm
The day will end with a full yoga nidra led by Karen Quinn
